Royal Alexander

Attorney

Royal Alexander graduated from LSU-Shreveport and attended law school at Oklahoma City University School of Law, where he served on Moot Court and Law Review. After law school, he clerked in Lafayette, Louisiana for U.S. District Judge Rebecca F. Doherty. Royal’s practice consists primarily of insurance defense, coverage and commercial litigation. Prior to joining the Loeb Law Firm, Royal was an in-house attorney for Deep South Surplus Inc., handling commercial auto, general liability litigation in Louisiana.

After working in Washington, D.C. for a number of years for several members of Congress, he returned to the state and, in 2007, ran for Attorney General of Louisiana. In this first bid for elective office, Royal defeated the incumbent and made it into the runoff before losing to the current Attorney General. He is also a board member of the Red River Tea Party.

Royal is one of 12 children and was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana. He is one of six attorneys in his family. His siblings, Thomas, Angelique, Alec, Leslie, Christopher, Patrice, Brian, David, Rachel, Ashley and Stephen, are primarily located in Louisiana. He is very proud to call Shreveport-Bossier home and loves the great potential our area holds!
